Extracurricular

Programs

Our extracurricular programs are intended to contribute to the overall physical, intellectual, and moral development of our students. It is the policy of STBS to offer all students the opportunity to participate in our extracurricular activity program.

The extracurricular program at STBS aims to:

  • Encourage students’ self-discipline
  • Foster students’ skills and talents
  • Enhance self-concept through students’ assumption of responsibility and achievement of goals
  • Teach problem-solving within an ethical framework
  • Develop good sportsmanship and good citizenship
  • Promote the productive use of leisure time for worthwhile recreation
  • Contribute to students’ recognition of the worth and dignity of the individual and of the value of cooperation

Band

Saint Theresa Bilingual School has an excellent band program, our students have participated in the Independence Day marches, private events and competitions. We strive to give our students the best equipment possible and they practice year round performing at all of our major events.

Choir

The angelic voices of our Choir are directed by our music teacher. Our Choir consists of students from Primary through High School. We participate in local competitions throughout the year and perform at local events and school programs.

Sports

If there is one thing our school has it’s Team Spirit! We have dynamic soccer teams that enjoy participating in local and inter school competitions. Our students pride themselves on a sense of unity, teamwork and motivation. At STBS it’s not all about the win; it’s about learning to work together to achieve a unified goal!

Model United Nations

We also have academic extra curricular activities; one of our major activities is Model United Nations. Our students practice year round for MUN; learning procedure, etiquette and gaining knowledge on the global community. We help guide them on a journey to become not only more knowledgeable about the world around them but on how governments work and also how to work together with others to create solutions to major global problems.

Knowledge Bowl

Another option for those students who pride themselves on fun facts and knowledge is Knowledge Bowl. Our students also practice year round for this competition, they work in groups going through trivia and procedure to unify themselves as a group and to learn each other’s strengths and weaknesses. This is not only a great extra curricular program but it is also a great chance for students to bond and learn so much more about themselves and the world we live in.

Taekwondo

A new addition to our school is our after-school Taekwondo program! We have the pleasure of hosting the local Dragones Templarios School of Taekwondo at our facilities. Taekwondo is a Korean martial art which aids students in developing, physically, mentally and spiritually. Through consistent practice and dedication, the results are students who can make good decisions, and do the right thing without hesitation, enabling students to become better citizens and future leaders.
